Had a bit of a disastrous start to college, all my own fault, but i've managed to catch up in the last few weeks. I think i'm ok for the exams but i've missed deadlines for some continuous assessment assignments. Can i repeat them in the summer? how does it work?

    Thanks

    L

I don't think you can tbh. It would be up to your lecturers. No harm asking.

That said, if you do fail (hopefully you won't, obviously) when you do your repeats they will give the supplemental exam a weighting of 100% and ignore the CAs if that's more beneficial to you.

What happens if the module has no exam and is 100% continuous assessment?

i think its usually the case of a repeat exam is put on in the autumn or a summer assignment where 40% is the highest mark as with a normal repeat. then again there are some modules (not many i think though) where they may need a full repeat of the year. best thing is talk to the lecturers concerned asap

also you could still do the missed assignments (i think), you will only be marked out of 40 but 40 is a lot better than 0

For most subjects yes but for some subjects in some courses the CA must be passed no matter the exam results. Computer programming is one such subject for example.

Very few modules work like that but in my experience they may not have a supplemental exam. That said are usually easier to repeat on their own while going on in the degree. You may be able to go into next term and do that subject as an extra one.
