iPhone 3GS - porting to a new network

Hi all. I've done a search and found nothing - perhaps because my query is so basic :o

I moved to Meteor from 02 a couple of days ago (SIM only - keeping my existing 3GS). I understand the porting went through okay, given that I can no longer log in to my 02 account. However, I'm still getting 'No Service' on my iphone.

I asked 02 to unlock the phone yesterday - had assumed it'd be unlocked as my 3GS contract ended over a year ago but apparently not. So my issue may be that it's still locked.

However, I had a thought as to what the problem may be - do I need to hook the phone up to iTunes in order for my Meteor SIM to activate? Asked Meteor but tbh they were clueless.

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds as if it's still locked to 02. Try restoring or syncing with the meteor sim in

It takes a couple of days for the unlock to be process you should get a txt when complete, after that you just need to connect your Iphone to Itunes and should say it's unlock.
