So the OH's CLK230 failed the NCT.

    Reasons:
    1. Rear Fog Lamp not working faulty -simple fix.
    2. Ball Joints - front - both sides - new wishbones or just the ball joint?
    3. Front Driver tyre - on wrong - incorrect assay - simple fix turn it round etc.
    4. Front drivers fog lamp cracked. Just need the plastic cover but what are these called and are the available or do you need to get the complete unit? Plastic fog lamp cover - not obvious when you think about it!
Would like to get it sorted without over spending. She is thinking of selling the car soon but a CLK230 with 100k miles is worth what between 1-2k max?

    Thanks!

The ball joints are the biggest thing wrong there and I change that model ball joints at least one if not more a week ball joint is 50 odd euro r so and simple to fix.the rest is fairly simple stuff it won't break the bank.i could of told u b4 the nct u should of had the ball joints checked mercs = eats ball joints

    Thanks Swhyte.

The key question was whether changing the ball joints meant changig the wishbones - if just the ball joints it's much better.

She is thinking of selling it - no chance without NCT and with NCT still not easy and not worth much so just looking at cost to pass versus potential sale etc.

Front fog lamp cover is an issue as well possibly - can the cover be got on it's own for a few quid.
