Christmas Tree Recycling

Anyone know when/where you can get rid of your tree?
i've looked on the clare co.council website which says that they will be offering the service but doesn't give details. Also saw a report on clare champion about a tree throwing competition but again no date.

Any idea when the last drop off is? Hubby is away with work at the moment, not due back til 18th Jan and i'm worried i'll be stuck with a tree rotting in my garden

I think you should be able to bring your old tree out to the council place out the Gort Road, they take all kinds of garden waste so I'd imagine trees would be fine.
