Windscreen misting

These days the windscreen mists up when I get in. All windows clear quite quickly once I put the aircon on, which allows me to move off without much delay, but is there anything else that I could be doing/using that would prevent the misting from happening or slow it? Anyone have any handy tips or tricks to share?

Move to the feckin Canaries I would say :D Short answer is no , at this time of the year its gonna happen and lucky to have the aircon/heated windscreens etc to get rid of it. If you had a garage of course it would help

On a related thread recently, some folks suggested a container of white rice which gets changed every now and again.
I use one of the dessicant trays (or gel absorbers) that you can find in a hard ware store to keep my boot dry.
