Just want to have a little moan here, nothing more! I need to book a flight from LHR to SNN in March. I am flying into LHR from OZ and land at about midday. There is a 3pm Aerlingus flight which is perfect except that it is £125(inc booking fee):eek: i could fly into DUB as the fares + bus from the airport to home is about half the price except i then won't be home until probably 9pm:mad: How much is time and convience worth?? So much for the Aerlingus sale. I guess now seats on that flight are only going to get dearer, not cheaper?

That is not an altogether unreasonable price. What are you expecting to pay?

Normally i would pay about half of that. I expected being 10weeks out that i would still be able to get something cheaper and if i had any flexibility would fly on a different day but this is one time when i really am caught :(

Ryanair do SNN-STN if you're really concerned about price. There's a transport link between LGW-LHR-STN so it shouldn't be a major deal getting to STN.

For example; leaving STN @ 8.10pm arriving in SNN at 9.30pm on Friday 9th March is coming up at £27.54 all in.

Bear in mind thats a Friday night flight which is probably the most expensive one you could find. If you came home the previous Monday it could be done for £15 all in.

Yeah I looked at doing STN - SNN but as I need to fly on the Saturday, it wouldn't get me in any sooner than doing the LHR - DUB flight, or even sitting around LHR until the late evening LHR - SNN flight (which is cheaper than the 3pm flight). After flying for 24 hrs the last thing I want to do is prolong the last hour for another 8 :( so I'm just going to have to suck it up and fork out the money.

After a flight from Australia, I'd happily pay another £60 not to have to do any of the routes mentioned here with buses/trains.
