"Boot from AHCI CD-ROM" message at startup when CD is in drive... should I reinstall?

I got a Samsung laptop a few months ago. It was a display one in the store. I never did a complete wipe of it. It's running Windows 7 and I have had no problems with it so far.

I was listening to a music CD a few days ago and left it in the drive. I noticed that when I turn the laptop on, a message (white text on black background) comes up stating "Boot from AHCI CD-ROM:_". Pressing any keys doesn't do anything and the only way to continue the booting up is to press the CD drive so that it ejects the CD. Startup then proceeds as normal.

This is the first serious issue I've had. Would it be a good idea to do a complete reinstall of Windows 7? I have a product key on the underside of my laptop, but no disc. I'm not unreal with computers but I am better than average. Also annoys me that all my files read "C:\Users\<storename>".

Is this problem something to be concerned about? How would I go about reinstalling Windows 7?

Did you check whether the boot order was changed in the BIOS?

Nothing to worry about, the bios is set to look for a bootable disk in the cd drive as a first option.

You could create a new profile using your own username and copy all the files over to it ,,,then delete the storename one afterwards.

If you wanted to do a full reinstalll...firstly make sure you have all your files backed up.

There should be a recovery partition on the laptop if it didnt come with any disks.
When its booting up keep tapping F8 to bring up the boot menue, There should be an option to Repair Your Computer, Choose this and there should then be an option to restore to factory settings.
This will bring your machine back to the way it was when it left the factory.

This is supposed to happen depending on the computers settings.

I had a mate who had the same problem but with USB keys. It's a BIOS setting and totally normal. Just remove the CD/DVD/USB key before you reboot. Ignore whoever above said you need to rebuild yer PC.

Ironically enough, the feature which you speak of is for reinstalling. If you put in the recovery CD and reboot it will find it and start the rebuild, henceforth what the feature is supposed to be used for.

Or, for a fix-once-never-worry-again solution, change the default boot device order in BIOS.

(Also, the person recommending a rebuild of the PC was doing so in response to the OP's statement that they bought the computer as a display model from a shop but never wiped the shop's original setup...)
