We are an Indie/alternative/electro band inspired by bands such as bloc party, two door cinema club, delorentos, foals, phoenix the strokes etc... We have very recently started gigging but for various reasons our lead guitarist is leaving the country in February so looking for a committed, enthusiastic permanent replacement to learn a setlist of about 7 songs with an aim to gigging and eventually recording. Proffessional attitude but at the same time not too serious.
Some things to note: We use programmed drums and backing track synths both live and in studio, other band members include a bassist and rhythm guitarist/vocalist. We are quite particular about our sound so looking for someone who dosent mind adapting their sound to suit what we're looking for. Looking for someone aged between 21-27. Location-Dublin. If anyone is interested would love hear from you. Here's a demo of one of our tracks and the general style of our music:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8O-mKD4ROOE

fair question clopdrop: basically the programmed drums have helped us mould our sound, gives u the advantage of having the exact sound you want and exact patterns u want. u can also vary drum sound for each song, add extra percussions and synths giving u a lot of variety. it makes for very tight performances and then theres no hassle of transporting drums anywhere.
Obviously the big thing is you lose the live drum sound. But Thats the angle we are going for, a more compressed kind of dancey/melodic live sound. Mightnt be everyone's ideal but ive heard enough ear battering metal bands in my day. Project is inspired by band such as the xx, depeche mode, two door cinema club and a lot of electro/dance bands
