    If a player who is going to the African cup of nations was to receive a suspension would it come into affect when they return or would they just basically get away with it ?

    Get away with it. Similar to being injured AFAIK

    Would have been extremely funny had the Copa America been on in January and Suarez was away for his ban :pac:

    They get away with it. I remember it happening with a Chelsea(I think) player for the last one. He was banned for a few games leading up to it and still had a game or two left but he was gonna be gone for the ACN anyway so it mattered fúck all. Could've been Essien, actually.
