Yeah, you'll even have BBC HD and BBC One HD to record and if you do the 'Card trick' you can have ITV HD too!

Op, you could be tied to a 12 month contract for the HD channels, depending on the offer when you got your box.
    Check this out!

I rang and cancelled it this morning along with sports and movies. We were paying full whack of €106 and I decided enough was enough. My husband will miss his sports but he can still watch at the races which is his main passion.

Was thinking of doing the same and just picking up the freeview channels so I took the card out to see what was available freeview.

I cant get Channnel 4 and Sky News and all the channels are in the same positions. Shouldn't BBC 1 be re positioned to channel num 101? Shouldn't I also be able to see ITV 1, 2, 3 and BBC 3 and 4 ?

    Many Thx,

Leave the card out and power off the box at the mains. Switch it on again (leaving card out) and the UK EPG might load.

Are you saying sky + will work? I was under the impression you needed a subscription for it to work.

OP was asking if she cancelled just her HD package, not cancelling her complete subscription.

Sounds like OP cancelled everything, not just the HD channels to me.

Take out the card, Unplug. Leave a few mins. Plug in without the card and the UK Guide will load.

You won't be able to Pause, rewind live tv or watch any recordings on the box!

No I didn't cancel everything. Just the sports and movies package together with the HD subscription.

    NO it wont.

you can still watch programs but you will not be able to watch any recordings or pause or record.

you need a sub for sky+ to work.

You can't record with Sky+ without at least a basic sub.

Wow, €106 per month. You should talk to them and ask for a sub reduction.

Just change the box opticum x110p, hd x4 or x7 and you can record and pause!

To answer your question, OP. As long as it's just the HD part (€15 per month) sub you've cancelled, the answer is yes.
