Cod probably your best bet at the moment. Don't know about tramore but down the road from you in Youghal they are getting a fair few.

Some good cod fishing at the moment but also plenty of bass around to lures nothing of any size but great fun on the light gear and there is always the chance of hooking a lunker this time of the year. check out the absolute fishing blog for updates on the fishing in waterford http://absolutefishingireland.blogspot.com/

You should try down the back of the woodlands hotel on the dunmore road, down at the river at high tide, very good for cod. always got them there.
