Speed camera vans

    Do these have to have the camera markings on them?

    I seen one today on N2, it was red with no markings but blacked out rear windows.

    you can get an app on your phone ..http://www.apps.ie/app-list/companies/Speed_Van_Zones_Ireland/apps/Speed_Van_Zones_Ireland.html... shows all those speed vans in ireland :)

    Nope. Tinted windows, camera at the back left of the window, ventilation hatch on roof is generally a Gatso.

    It was a gatso then, thought it was parked a bit more responsibly than the other showers. ie. not over on the hard shoulder.

    this needs a sticky at this stage. The van you saw was a go-safe van that is used to survey traffic. Does not record offences for fines and points

    I was under impression that you can actually receive a fine for an offence recorded?
