My first provisional just ran out, afaik you didn't need to do the 12 lessons if you had your provisional before the rule came out?
Does this only cover the 1st provisional or will I also be able to apply for my test when I get my new license without doing the 12 lessons?

You only need to do the 12 EDT lessons if you obtained your *first* Learner Permit (this is what used to be called Provisional Licences) on or after 4th April 2011, so you are not required to take 12 lessons to sit your test (but, of course, you can if you want to).

    Good luck!

    Thanks!
Would have had it over and done with before the licence ran out if I didn't manage to sprain my ankle twice in the last 6 months :/
Would have been quite a kick in the face to have to fork out a couple of hundred yoyos because of that :D
