In-College Student Loan

I had to repeat 15 credits this year as a mature student, the lowest I could get the costs was around the E450 mark which was 1 class and 2 exams.

I applied to Student Support for assistance as I'm on BTEA and they won't cover repeat costs, I was under the assumption I would receive the E500 additional cost of education allowance eventually and use that to pay my fees.

I received student support which was meant to be a a measly E120 waiver and then the rest in a loan.

I got word over xmas they added it up wrong and that my waiver was a whooping E40 and that I owe an additional E75 on top of the E400ish already.

I never received the E500 from BTEA(and didnt ask as Im only PT) and really don't feel like paying the college loan back, I don't feel as though I'm getting anything as such, my bum on a seat in computers and two exam papers in the summer which would be sitting there either way.

I wouldnt mind paying some of the loan myself but feel as though E450 is a rip off and the waiver of E40 is just a waste of time....

Question is, does anyone know what happens if you don't pay back in college loans?....
Would they just hassle me over it?, add the cost on next year?.

I'd never get the waiver again so not like I'd be risking myself for the future with them.
