I am in the Dublin area next week and have never played Luttrellstown Castle. I have heard people say its a nice course, but would like people's opinions on the place?

Is it in good condition, greens especially for this time of year if anyone has played the course recently, I'd appreciate your opinion.

    Thanks!

    Played it on Dec 31st.
Nice enough course, in reasonable condition given that it was middle of winter.
Quite a forgiving course really - fairways wide, young trees to the side, greens slow enough.
Not a huge variety in it - you can hit driver off virtually all the non-par-3s.

I like this course a lot. Always in great nick with some great holes. 18th is a great finishing hole.

One bit of advice though would be to bring a small hand towel and have it in your back pocket for the greens. Every time I've played the greens have been covered in sand. When its wet the ball gets a ring of sand after every putt. Pain in the neck when you have to go back and forth to the bag to clean your ball after every putt!!

Has anyone played here recently and what's the condition like? Were the greens hollow tined around the end of Mar and are they fully recovered since. Thinking of playing in the open day on Wed but at €30 it's a bit on the pricey end so just want to check it's playing well before I commit. Thanks
