just got a phone call from someone looking for the shocks from my car to which went caput (timing belt) Its a 1.4 00 VW Bora, any idea on how much to charge for the shocks? Car in excellent body condition with 86k on clock. Help appreciated!

You will get very little for the secondhand shocks. You would be better off selling the car as a whole to be honest.
