There was a thread for the first Orange San Francisco which came out late in 2010...

I thought that the new version deserved its own thread, San Francisco II which came out recently...

    # This phone is a budget phone, but with good specs for the price. :)

    # However it is only available in the UK for sale from Orange...

    # I have ordered one which came locked, and full of Orange apps.

    # I have found a good tutorial for unlocking... it is here ... http://ztecrescent.blogspot.com/2011/12/osf-ii-unlocking.html

I tried it, it works, took me over two hours tho...some advice to make it quicker for you.....

    # make sure you take a note of the wifi mac address.. [Settings - about device - wifi mac address (near the bottom)] otherwise your wifi may get buggered. My wifi didnt work after i did this, but there is a guide here to fix this http://android.modaco.com/topic/348492-tutorial-get-your-mac-address-if-you-already-unlocked-now-up/

    # make sure you read the guide thoroughly and consult the comments after the guide

    # you need to do steps 21+22 before step 3

    # keep your usb connected to your laptop during the relevant processes

    # Make sure you check out the link in step 15 to set up ports

    # and if ports aren`t connecting at any stage you may need to exit the last step or window you had open...

    # at step 17 you need to exit the qspt configuration before the start button becomes green and selectable.

Is there any spec difference between this and the Monte Carlo apart from the 4.3" screen on the Monte Carlo.

hey quickquestion, was working away on locking my phone but but got stuck on step 8.

    8. Go to “03 Preparation” directory and run the “install-recovery-windows.bat” file. This will take approximately five to 10 min to complete. This should flash stock recovery and reboot the phone. Once the Preparation over, switch off the phone and remove the battery and disconnect the USB Cable.

I am working on windows 7, the driver seems to install and I have removed it and installed it a few times but the phone never reboots. I have tried to install the driver from http://sanfranciscoandroid.co.uk/android/how-to-install-the-usb-drivers-for-the-orange-san-francisco-zte-blade/. Not sure the computer is recognising the phone...

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
