You may not be aware but the Thailand flooding really affected hard disk manufacturing and hard disk prices have sky rocketed since. May take a fair few more weeks before prices settle again, I would check out www.elara.ie, www.memoryc.ie, but tbh don't expect anything that cheap. PC World and Peats as brick and mortar stores may have a few 1tb drives, although in 2.5" format they are less common than their 3.5" versions

Dabs has a selection. You probably know that 12.5mm ones don't fit all machines, but there are 9.5mm ones to compensate.

Cheers for the input lads,Came across this which looks similar the the one on dabs.ie.

Is it better to order from a Ireland website that its just not thrown about on transport like it could be coming from England.

If you got one of those from Komplett, and live anywhere near Ballycoolin, you can pick one up from them.

I've ordered from Scan and no complaints, my last order from Dabs didn't go as smoothly as one would hope so I'd be more inclined to go Scan, they use UPS for shipping so its fairly quick and if any issues UPS will pick it up as part of the RMA procedure

    Nick

Edit: These guys are Irish and offer free delivery, may be a bit dearer but there only based in Kildare so if any problems they should be quicker to sort

That's about €23 extra for free delivery compared to picking one up from Ballycoolin.:P

Komplett havn't been known for their efficiency dealing with complaints lately though, personally having heard the horror stories I'd choose to avoid them, but that may all have changed I don't know! If its that much more though Komplett is probably the best one to go for.
Its a shame as I used Komplett in the past and they were great!

I haven't bought anything from Komplett for a long time, they don't seem to have as wide a selection as they once had. I've had dust-ups with them in the past over various things, but then I've also had dustups with Dabs and a few others.

They're all okay unless something goes wrong, and then the battle starts.:(

Highly recommend them. Have bought from them dozens of times. Based in Celbridge, Co. Kildare only 5 minutes up the road from me, so I usually collect :)

Another one: amazon.co.uk - free shipping if you buy from themselves and free RMA procedure / customer service is excellent
