When does course year usually start?

    Hi all,


    Didn't know where to put this really. My sister is hoping to go to UCD this year following her Leaving Cert. She was just wondering when the year usually starts as she is hoping to go on hols first/second week in September. Would this interfer with start date? And are all college start dates usually the same?

    No, they're not all the same. UCD starts a bit earlier than most other colleges; this year we started lectures on the week of the 12th September, first years have to attend orientation week (compulsory) the week prior to this, so the first week of September.
