I have this appliance 4 weeks and i have had to throw out 50 quids worth of food last night. Its not cooling in the fridge section. However i discovered that the super freeze button has been switched on now for the last 4 weeks (mistakenly). Could this have been causing the fridge section to not cool correctly??

yes it is the cause , on the finlux that button operates a small heater to fool the thermostat into running continuously , hense super freeze -
worst case is you have buggared up the stat ( motor still running?)
unplug fridge and defrost totally then plug back in with the super freeze button off ,
