I have two excel sheets, containing details of individual items. One sheet has one line per item, one has multiple lines per item. Can I query one from the other? I.e. select from sheet A only those items which also appear on sheet B?

    Cheers

    yep do a vlookup :)

make sure you sort your data etc first.

Thank you, I'll check that out.

If all you need to do is to see where columns in one sheet exist in another, the match() function is easier to use than vlookup and doesn't require you to sort the data.
