Breguet XX or IWC Ingenier 40mm

Quick one.

I have been looking at 2 watches and need to get an opinion on these.

Which would you chose between a Breguet Type XX and IWC Ingenier 40mm.

These are very different watches, but just looking for an opinion.

BTW is the IWC the chronograph version? I'm assuming yes as the Brequet it a Chrono. I'll see if I can find a review of that version.

The Brequet is a step up on the IWC but I've no experience with either. They both look very nice.

I should have specified the model number for the IWC is 3228.

This is a very limited run IWC Ingenier that was produced at 40mm instead of the larger 42mm versions. This model has a white dial with gold hands and indices.

I have read the reviews of both and am a bit hesitant in relation to the Breguet in terms of movement quality

Personally I would go for the Breguet. Much nicer watch in my opinion.

This may influence your decision - a 3228 sold on tz-uk last week for £2750 and I think a Type XX went for around £2600 last year. A rough guide to used values, so if you're buying new, bear in mind the resale should you flip down the line.

I missed this IWC on TZ-UK last week due a "discussion" with my better half!! I was a bit sick!

For me it would be the Breguet every time; my recollection was that the Breguet on TZ was on sale for £3k but of course price advertised is not the same as price sold. It may not be the right model but I think Sheerans had a healthy reduction on a new Ingenieur in the window last week.
