I've seen this on facebook and it confuses me:

Some People are at a party*. They are posting pictures of themselves on facebook during the party. Other who are at the same party are commenting under the pictures " oh look at the state of me in that one etc", while the party is still on

    * 6 people in a house

Now here is where my confusion lies:

If the party is so much fun, why are they spending time posting pics on facebook throughout the night, can't it wait until tomorrow?

secondly, they are all in the same room it would be easier for them to actually talk to each other instead of posting comments to each other on facebook? ie walk over, show the photo on the camera, say "oh look at the state of me"

Do many people do this? I've seen it happen a few times and it strikes me as a strange thing to do?

    Yup, all the time.

When I'm in bed with the girlfriend, we don't have sex either - I just poke her instead.

LOL guilty. I go as far as phoning people if I'm upstairs in the house and I want something.

Yeah it's crazy stuff, have to agree with you. Just get on with it, nobody cares where you are or what you're doing. Posting up pictures while you're out is ****ing retarded

If I ask on facebook some people who do this will be replying, they will tell me its cool.

It's bad when you see couples do it on facebook but when couples do it on boards its vomit inducing.

Thats just irritating. I also hate how facebook has to be incorporated into every conversation we have these days.

    No.

Because I'm not stupid enough to use facebook.

Yes, using a few IM clients. It can be handy when the situation prevents verbal communication, but you still need to communicate.

I laughed at this reminds me of something that happened the other night.
Friend A - Busy up dating her face book & checking in etc. "Will I add you on facebook ( this was the first time they'd met)"

    Friend B - "I don't have facebook"

Friend A- Specchless and nearly falls off the chair, "But how do people know what your doing?"

I know of a husband and wife that communicate regularly on FB even though they're in the same house. Roaring at each other must be gone out of fashion!
