R4i-SDHC 3DS card problem.

    Hi,

I bought a new 3DS for Xmas and also purchased an R4i-SDHC 3DS card.

The card did not work on the base firmware version 1.0.0.0, so i upgraded to the latest (3.0.0-6E). Upon inserting the R4I card, it shows the Konami Digital Entertainment icon, but when i select it, it just displays the following message:
an error has ocurred. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the system off. Please refer to the operations manual for details.

I have downloaded the latest firmware (R4i-3DS V1.51b), but it still displays the same error.

Has anyone run into this before? Is it a software issue, or is the card broken?

    Thanks for any info,

Put the card in a regular ds or dsi and select config then select update and it should start updating when done try it in the 3ds again and should work.

    Hi,

This card is only suitable on the the 3DS. They explicitly mention that it will not work on any non 3DS console.

I returned it and got a replacement, and it has the same error. Friends have bought them as well, and all of them, (approx 9 or 10) have the same error.

So, steer clear of the R4I-SDHC card as it does not appear to work on the latest 3DS firmware version!!

@NewtoThis - that worked for me - thanks! The card was working fine in the DS Lite for me, just obviously didn't know how to complete the update.
