Looking in to a girls weekend away in the UK somewhere and Blackpool popped in to our heads. For the craic more than anything, it looks like it might be a fun place to go for a weekend. But we don't really know anyone that's been there, any recommendations on if it's a good place to go for a weekend? Have had a few people say it's rough and kind of the land that time forgot but they haven't been there so I can't really judge it on their comments.

    Thanks! :)

We went there in a stag party. I wasn't too gone on it. Most of the pubs had disco music blaring constantly. The hotels are old and shabby. The theme park is ok if you are into that sort of thing.
But some people love the place.

blackpool is a fun town, been many times, i would recommend it for a weekend for sure, most of the nightlife is located between the central and north pier, lots of bars and clubs within easy walking distance around that area sanuk is a good club, its a northern english working class town so away from the main attractions its a bit rough around the edges yes but i never saw any trouble any night i was out and the locals are friendly

during the day you can visit the themepark at the end of town or the beach (if weather is good), accommodations are mostly just old houses but really cheap even compared to nearby cities like liverpool and manchester
