Play MP4 on my dvd player???

Hi all, I have a Philips dvp3890 dvd player I bought a couple of years ago. It has the DIVX logo on it so it plays AVI and JPEG. When I pop in a disc that I have burned It will not play the video but will play the audio. I have been to the sticky post at the top of the page and from here I was able to enable region free on…

How can I get MP4 codecs onto the DVD player or is this at all possible?

Please help.
