Transition Pension

Hi, iam looking for a bit of information on transition pension, my dad turns 65 in May he took redundancy in 2000 and has done some part time work since, he worked full time for 33 years up until 2000 and I am just wondering would he be entitled to the transition pension, Regards Ronan

Hi Ronan,

Yes he is entitled to it as long as he is no longer working, the full pension is available at 66 wether he is working or not:
