London Firms- Masters in particular advantageous?

Hi all, just thought I'd offer my life plan and see what you all think...!

I am currently in PPC1 and will therefore qualify this time 2 years.

I am with a medium sized firm just outside the Top 10(ish) but we have entries in the legal 500,etc. I intend going to London for 2-3 years upon qualification and working every hour god sends in that period to try and set myself up financially.

What is the liklihood of someone NOT with an Irish top 5 apprenticeship getting into a big London firm like I intend to?

Also, I would like to do a part-time Masters next September in conjunction with working in the office, would this enhance the chances of same London firms hiring me?EG, a Masters in Sports Law

Any advice is greatly appreciated :)
