    Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help me out with this:

I'm looking to get the above pedal re-calibrated (I understand that for this model it can only be done internally), does anybody know of anyone in Ireland/Dublin area that is capable of doing a job like this?

    Thanks in advance!

    J

    You can do it yourself.

Hold down the footswitch while you plug it in. Keep an eye on the LEDs, one will keep flashing when it's powered on, now you're in the calibration mode. Move the pedal across the full sweep forward and back. When that's done, press the footswitch again, and you're back in normal operating mode.

EDIT:AFAIK, the Whammy II can't be calibrated this way, but this should work fine with the I.

    Hey Roast,

Cheers for the info, I don't think this works tho as I've been informed the very first model has to be taken apart and calibrated internally? - do you have any idea where I'd find an authorised Digitech dealer in Ireland by any chance?

    Thanks again

    J

Try the calibration anyway. From what I can see online, it can be calibrated from the above method. try this:

Don't know of any authorized Digitech dealer myself, but there may be someone in your area that could repair it for you. Where are you located?

    Thanks again,

I'll give it a shot but that's not the model I have, I've got the very first one (pic attached)

It does not have those flashing LEDs that are in that calibration video...

I'm in both Laois / Dublin depending on the day of the week

I had problems with my Whammy 4 a couple of years ago (power issue). Anyway I ended up sending it off to Sound Technology in the UK who are Digitech's distributor here and in the UK. Postage was a small fortune though (and it was out of warranty :( ) but I couldn't find anyone here to look at it.

There's a chap in Beaumont called Martin Nolan, who's the authorized repair dude for Marshall, Line 6, and a bunch of other brands. Music Maker send all their repairs to him. May be worth a shot giving him a call to see if he can help you out - his business numbers are 0868931034 or 018316168.
