Hi All, new to this page & need some help.

So since we had our first child 5 years ago we haven't been in a position to afford a holiday abroad & I am determined to do it this year... now heres the problem, budget of approx €1500 plus spending money.

It would be for 2 adults a 2yr old & a 5yr old in July or August

I DONT care where we go BUT

    It has to be warm
Must be in walking distance of a town
Must be decent things to do within an hours radius.
    Oh & NO Camping:):)

Can anyone suggest anywhere or any advice where to start - did a search on Falcon & nearly choked with the cost of it.

Best advice is to book it all yourself. You need to factor in also that it's peak season so there's never really any cheap deals to be had from tour operators.

You could fly into Lanzarote, for example, and come out the wrong side of €1100 (without baggage!) for the flights only! That said, for the dates I looked at, I also found plenty of accommodation to keep within the budget you state.

A quick check shows most sun destinations are coming out around the same. Algarve slightly cheaper at under €900.

    Tips:
    1) Don't confine your search to particular airlines, try Skyscanner for flight price comparisons, then book the flights on the airline website, not via Skyscanner.
    2) Take a look at midweek departure and return, you can save a couple of hundred by travelling on a Wednesday!
    3) Use a site like booking.com to find your hotel, take a look at reviews on the site and also reviews on tripadvisor.
    4) Keep an open mind about where you go and remember that wherever you stay doesn't need to be the Ritz. Chances are all you'll do is sleep there!
    5) Just remember, when it comes to your destination, the two year old can't fend for him/herself so you'll have to be super vigilant when it comes to being out in the sun. If you're going to spend time by the pool, make sure you have easy access to parasols!

    Could you fly from Belfast?

I just did a search on travelsupermarket.com and came up with these results: http://www.travelsupermarket.com/holidays/results/flexible/120103175839300001

    (hope the link works)

There seems to be a good few options for under your budget
