Whirlpool Side by Side Fridge Freezer - Ice maker not working...

    This Whirlpool has an ice dispenser and a filtered water dispenser on the freezer door.

    Just the other day, we noticed that the ice bucket was empty.

    The manual said to change the water filter, so I did. However, still no ice.

    There are very few moving parts and I'm pretty sure that no one was tampering with it, so any ideas for what I might try myself before resorting to an engineer call out?

    Hi,
    I'm just wondering if you found out what was wrong - we have the same thing with our Whirlpool Fridge freezer and am also wondering if its something I might be able to sort myself

    I think the problem was with the front circuit board panel.
