    Hi,
I'm giving up on my HP netbook after a week and €270 cos its way too slow. I only have skype and google chrome on it!!

I'm very tempted by Android 4.0, is this tablet and good? The motorola Xoom with Honeycomb is still very expensive but this one has ICS. I've googled it and the reviews seem good but anyone actually try one yet?

That processor won't allow you to install most of the android apps. If you want apps stay away from it.

It won't? Haven't heard that before. I'll check that one out.

What do you mean exactly? Is the MIPS chip somehow incompatible with the Android Market?

    HP Netbook or HP Touchpad?!

If it's the latter I think there might be a few people around here interested in it!

ARM and MIPS are two different architectures. The vast majority will be compiled for the ARM architecture and only the ARM architecture because all mainstream phones and tablets to date are using an ARM processor (this is the first I've seen using MIPS processor). Now, it's possible app developers will compile their apps for MIPS but I wouldn't take that risk.
