Chinese P-Bass Volume pot trouble- ADVICE PLEASE!

Hi everyone! A friend's bass is giving trouble with the volume pot. Could someone tell me if its a 250k or 500k pot that comes in them? I don't think it'll need to be changed, there was a dodgy solder joint on it that i repaired, but just in case. Couldn't find a lead to test it with :P

More than likely 250k. Check the pot, it may be engraved on the bottom of it.
