    Hi Folks,
Building a new house at the moment and have been getting a few quotes on kitchens from various suppliers - B&Q have given us a very good quote - just wondering if anyone has had any experiences either good or bad from B&Q kitchens?
    Thanks in advance

In the same boat as yourself, was in their store today, kitchens looked great, member of staff commented that the installation team can be quite expensive. Is that included in your quote? They have a 5 yr guarantee, wonder how that compares with other stores. Would be handy as they could put down tiles also.

    Yep, quote included installation.
I've done a bit of searching online since OP.
Seems to be a lot of horror stories from the UK regarding B&Q kitchens, the sheer amount of negative reviews has made me seriously question whether to go with them.
Ikea seem to get better reviews and their prices are not too much more than B&Q.

Used to work for them, there was a lot of complaints about the aftersales service in the store as the staff just weren't trained properly or couldn't be bothered to seal with them
I'd say if the price was good enough i would go for it and if you have any problems keep going into the store and they would be sorted out quickly
This time of year with the sales you're looking at around 3 months for a kitchen

I would agree with the posters above.
    "stay away from B&Q kitchens"

The carcases in the likes of Noyaks, cube or IKea are far superior.

Secondly the waiting time for the B&Q stuff is a Joke. Up to 3 months for certain Kitchens.

The kitchens in B&Q are fine for a utility room where they will not get allot of abuse but wont last long in a main kitchen where there is a growing family.

    Thats my tupance.:)

Any body ever used Right Price kitchens in Oranmore? I called out there yesterday and they seem to have a good range of kitchen types....

I worked in the kitchen industry until last year. In my experience the cheaper kitchens like B&Q and Ikea are not as good as the local independent kitchen companies. Of course though it will come down to your budget and what you can afford.

The company i worked for sells flat pack kitchens online and they were some of the best quality units and doors around for the money. Average price for their flat pack kitchens was between €2,500 and €4,000.

Don't think I can mention their website but if you google 'flat pack kitchens wicklow' you should find them.

    Hope this helps!
