Engine and Service light showing on Megane

Hey there, I hope some one can give me some advice, I have a 05 Megane and it has just started to show the engine and the service light. The car is running fine but it is starting to give me trouble starting.. It doesnt happen every time but seems to be getting more frequent as the days go on, it will eventually start after trying for 5 mins or so. My friend has a hand held diagnostics and it is reading a fault "heat sensor". Is this an expensive job to get fixed or does anyone know if this is something small that i could have a go at myself?

You need to be more specific with the fault code. Do you have the number from the code? Should be something like P1103 or similar.

If the fault code refers to a lambda sensor then it isn't going to be the cause of your starting issue.
