Engineering student seeking sheet form magnesium alloy AZ31B in Ireland

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone, an engineering student has just e-mailed us as he is looking for some help in finding the following in Ireland.

"Engineering student requires one piece of sheet form magnesium alloy AZ31B of the dimensions: 300mm x 200mm x 1mm for project. This has been difficult to source in Ireland and I would appreciate any help"

Can anyone point him in the right direction?

My advice would be if you can't get it here don't be afraid to go to the U.K. or Europe and see what you can get there.

The people below seem to have some magnesium alloys but even if they don't have the exact type they may know where one could get it.

If they do have the part you're looking for it's just a case of asking them to get it couriered over. They should be able to arrange this.

As part of my job I have to source sometimes difficult to get parts. I could ring 10 companies in both Ireland and England where the general response would be that the part is unattainable. You just have to stick with it and eventually you'll get somewhere.
