Just an idea, but maybe we could post any watch deals in here.

Brown Thomas have 30% off Audemars Piguet and Zenith. Still out of my price range right now, but the Royal Oak Offshore models look good value. Will have a wander around this afternoon and see if Sheerans, Dawson Jewellers etc have any offers.

What price is the Royal Oak Offshore?

Are BT`s not keeping the AP brand?

I had a look around last week and Sheerans had some sales on "older" IWC Ingeniers (Ceramic bezel versions) about € 3,200 - € 3,300.

I'm not too well up on AP models, but they had 3 chronographs, each priced at between 15k and 16k. There's a 30% off sign beside them, so not sure whether that's the reduced price, or whether there is 30% off the marked prices. I looked at the AP site and they have no AD listed for Ireland, so I'm assuming BT are not keeping the brand.

You might find this an odd statement but in many ways that's a fairly entry level ROO in many ways but it's a brand that is regularly heavily discounted except for the very desirable models. A mate of mine has bought 4 of them over the last 5 years or so, an Alinghi Polairis, the first Montoya and the Barrichello I and II. I'd be hard pushed to decide or understand the differences (all extremely ugly) but they varied from $20k to $60k. Thankfully he didn't wear them are some have been cashed in.

The ROO is a watch I just don't get. I've held one, and can't see where my €15k is going, or what it offers over a Zenith El Primero for example. I'm also baffled that the WIS community, which derides Tag and others for being 'fashion watches' holds AP in such high regard. I appreciate the movements etc but has any other manufacturer produced so many hideous models in recent years?
