yes , you select different players each week but you can only use each player 10 times during the year. you can sub in any of your 4 reserves after the completion of each round.

no point deductions - you can swap players over and back all weekend - first tee off time on each day is the cutoff point .
However you can only use each player 10 times in a season - if you have him as a sub and dont use him , then you wont lose a life.

am open to correction but i dont think there is extra for majors.

A tip for anyone who may have stricker / simpson / laird on the bench. Sub them in for the final round if not done so already as there are bonus points for finishing positions. To avail of these bonus points your player must have been active for at least one round in the tournament.

SligoRed is the expert, but from what I (also a rookie) can gather;
You can rotate your roster during a tournament, as points are awarded per round, not merely for the overall finishing positions, so if you have a guy on your bench who had a rubbish 1st round but you think might have a good second round, put him in. Every tournament that you use a player counts as a start, you have a max of 10 starts per player (if he is on your bench but not put on your starting 4 for a tournament round then this does not count as a start). Low score on a day gets 20 points, and I tihnk 2 points off for every shot you are above that. 20 bonus points for winner, down to 5 for top 5 i think. So in theory you could have the low scorer on each day and end up getting more points than somone who picked the actual winner of the tournament.

Hard to keep up with the strange round times in Hawaii, I was expecting the first round but apparently it's the second.

Would not have made much difference, some decent players missing the cut.

Johnson Wagner was one of my picks 3rd place and steve stricker 8th

KJ and Zach Johnson as my 'A' players. On Thursday I went with Johnson, he was +2 and KJ -5.

Obviously switched for Friday only for KJ to shoot +3 while Johnson was -5! Reverted again yesterday and Johnson was +2 and KJ -3. Didn't bother swapping today, at least Johnson is level par for 15 holes

im not an expert but this is a good summary - important to check the entries on wednesday evening - think nearly the whole b list missed the cut this weekend - dont worry - its a long season

If there are 12 weeks in a segment , it disregards your worst score for that segment.

Somehow managed to go top in the league despite not having Bubba or Justin Rose. This changing your team during the competition is a minefield. It seems like a sure way to make sure that the player you drop or don't play has a super round. Dropped watney for kuchar and couldn't seem to play kaymer on the right days at all.
