Anyone know of a good independent Audi specialist in Dublin for a service? I already have a good independent generalist. I'm looking for a specialist.

    What specialist items need attention?

No specialist items. Just looking for an Audi specialist for this service.

EDIT: A quick Google search has just turned up Jetstar Motors in Dun Laoghaire. I'll try them and maybe some main dealers.

This is the car's first service outside of Australia, so I'd like to have a specialist look it over.

I believe Chris in 3Rock Electronic Services deals in Audi. I know him more on the BMW side of things, but all this VAG are his game.

It's a VAG, there's not much specialist attention required tbh.

I'd disagree with you there tbh.

Anyway Daltons in Abbeyleix might be worth the spin down for the quality of service.

Also, my boot lock solenoid needs replacing, is it worth doing this myself? (Of course this may beg the question as to why I don't just service it myself :) ).

    Hi

I would not recommend Jetstar /gerard Lee, having used them for the last few years I found them to have gotten a lot more expensive, with a lack of customer care and a much poorer service. Also very similar in price to Audi Sandyford.

I did by coincidence find a garage in Blackrock where I got some work done to my Audi in December and it turns out two of the guys are ex Jetstar themselves. I was very happy with the work done and it worked out to be half the price that Gerard Lee quoted me.

Tom Courtney motors in north strand has kept my Audi healthy now for six years

Much more trustworthy and reasonable than the main dealers.

They are always busy so u need to setup an appointment.

I have no connection to them just a happy customer.

    Pm me for a number.

I read some more and found negative feedback for GLM/Jetstar. There's also the fact that he's ex-Grange motors and I have had a bad experience with them in the past. Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll be looking into these.

I'm afraid i'll have to second the poor opinion of Jetstar, my last two experiences with them were very disappointing. I've used Niall in ISA on Brookfield Terrace a few times and always been happy both with his work and pricing - he's not an Audi specialist, but he seems to know his way around an A8 4.2 at least.

IMO any competant, reputable mechanic/garage will be able to service/repair/diagnose your car to manufacturer spec.
