Is the 'Wrightbus Hybrid WH1' now running a frequent service with Dublin Bus?

Hot on the heels of the New Bus for London thread, I'm just wondering if the Dublin Hybrid is still doing trials in Dublin? and are they now in full service with Dublin Bus? Looking at various reports on the internet I see there was one test vehicle on route 16 back a couple of years ago, but whats the story now? Trials over? and did it pass? might there be several of them now up & running now on different routes? because if so, I'd love to get on board for a spin . . .

Thanks in advance, and sorry if all this has been carried in the past, but I'm new to this forum. The NB4L has captured my imagination, hence the interest in Dublin Hybrids (if they exist)?

It's usually on an early morning northbound 16 - either the 0700 or 0720 from Ballinteer.

Still the only one in the fleet to my knowledge.

It's running on evening Southbound services also

Absolutely - it will stay out on the roster that starts with the two departures mentioned above.

I wonder do they have any plane to rool out a small fleet of them?

Not at the moment - there are no new buses being delivered.

I wonder do Dublin Bus have any plans to roll out more Hybrids on various other Dublin bus routes?

Is that true? I thought I seen provision made in the 2012 budget for replacement buses for the fleet, although I am open to correction on that.

Well there are currently none on order. There may be an order placed later in the year to replace the remaining RVs.

There are replacement buses coming for Bus Eireann.
