im guessing its to do with the detachable facia, there's contacts on the back that line up with contacts on the stereo itself. check that theyre clean and not bent. also check the stereo facia is tight against the stereo as it may have worked loose.

it could also be goosed, the warranty was quite long (36 months or something) on these.
