Have trawled the search engines for such information but can only get USA stuff, is there a website that I can source historical weather data by date, in particular for the last 12/24 months? TIA

Only gives to April 2008 for the station I'm after but gives Dub Airport up to 2011 year end which is handy to know, thanks.

Which station is it as ones like Clones, Kilkenny, Birr and Rosslare were closed around then.

Met Eireann has daily data for the past 12 months for the synoptic and online TUCSON (The Unified Climate and Synoptic Observation Network) stations.
Perhaps not much use in that one can only extract one days data for one station at a time.

I remember when this was first rolled out, it gave the full 6 months data for a station in one viewing.

Yes indeed, the Rosslare one was closed but it doesn't show the automatic at Johnstown Castle

www.met.ie and click on the "Past Weather" link on the menu. Tons of stuff in there.

Lots of stuff in the Monthly Weather Bulletins too.
