    Can anyone remember the name of the free gift that came with issue 1?

    No I can't remember as #1 was in 1956. Apparently it was a Whizz-bang (whatever one of those is).

    The Beezer and Topper was actually the two comics joining together

    I remember the merge - both comics stopped publishing and relauched a joint effort a week later. I remember it was a weekend that I was going back to college, so around September 1990.

    The re-vitalised comic lasted three years; I seem to recall there were a few free gifts but nothing I can remember.
