There's a restored version of Oldtown included in the doc too.

Some good archive clippage on this show, very enjoyable.

My mother was a massive fan of Phil's and I have great memories of singing along to Thin Lizzy songs in our kitchen as a really young child. To this day, I know nearly all their songs, word for word. :)

Some of their music was a wee bit loud for me, but Phil was a terrific character. And he had some cracking tunes.

This song always makes me feel really sad, Phil's death was such a waste.

Poor enough timeslot for this show - 10.55pm on the day before a lot of people return to work.

I think many people will miss it, who would like to have seen it.

I agree, not everyone wants to listen to rock music before bed either.

I cant believe after over 20 years they are still going on about him.

Seriously folks, does anyone think he could sing? I personally will remember him for nothing else than Dancing in the Moonlight (good song) and being a junkie.

Love that song 'Sarah', such a contrast to his rockier songs.

That Phil Lynott Exhibition was very good, some great memorabilia there. Really enjoyed it.

Excellent doc, hope RTE put up a full version of 'Old Town' on the player as the versions that are currently online are very poor quality

Nothing new is this doc except for the start with the hot press music awards that showed the footage of phil and bono together.
A lot of rambling in it.
Did we need how to see that lad played sarah on the guitar ?
There was plenty more from the rte vault they could of using.
