    Hi,

As the title says, I need a new hair style/cut and colour. Where is the best place in town that would be able to advise what suits me rather than just chopping all my hair off or just trimming all my hair into the same style as I have.

    Thanks

I would recommend the Style Club (http://www.styleclub.ie/)

I went in there just for some advice a few months ago when I was in a bit of a hair rut and they were absolutely great. I was talking to Darren, I think his name was, and he felt free to suggest I went a lot lighter and kept away from a side fringe - which is what I'd always been getting done previously! So it was nice to have a new opinion and not just telling you what you want to hear. They also do a new type of highlight called Balayage which is much better for your hair since you only need to get it done half as often as normal highlights.

    Thanks

I will give them a look up and see what they suggest. Thanks again.

Lunatic Fringe, they're above HMV on grafton street or on south liffey street. Personally I prefer south liffey street branch but both are very good. They really know what they're doing, very decent prices, if you want something new or different this is the place to go! (they also have a school that you can attend for even cheaper haircuts). I started going to these guys after being sick of Peter Mark and Tony & Guy messing up my hair every time or just not knowing what they're doing

I go Toni & Guy on Clarendon St and find them great. Get my hair cut by Alan, and once by Joe.

I think an important part of the whole process is to get a consultation before the appointment, mostly you can just go in off the street and see someone, make your appointment then afterwards. Helps to talk through what you want and think about it properly. Sometimes I find when I'm in the chair I'm like "Em yeah I dunno whatever you think!"

I went to Peter Mark on Grafton St for the first time before Christmas and was happy coming out of a Peter Mark for the first time in my life!

I had NormaJean and she was great, listened, did what I asked (had a picture) and was great to give me tips on styling it myself too.

100% going back. It was worth €58 for a cut!

Thanks, I will be avoiding Toni & Guy and Peter Mark, I have been there before and not been happy with the results.
Will try the other places though.
