Major hair loss - 21 years old

Hi, going true a bit of a dilemma lately. I've lost a serious amount of hair this past couple of months and it's doing my head in, literally! It's frustrating because not so long ago I've had a full head of hair, and now this past month or two I'm losing hair at a serious rate. My hair is thinning all over my scalp and my hairline is fairly receding. My dad has thick hair and is by no means bald, so I doubt its genetics. I'm using a product called hairomega, It's meant to stop hair loss and is proven to be effective, but my hair is still thinning out :(

I've an idea what the cause may and hopefully be. I went on holiday in June with my ex to turkey, average temperature was 35 degrees, arrived over there with my hair bleached like a milky bar (I've dark brown hair). Plus the end of a long term relationship which left me stressed out a bit. I wonder do these factors contribute to hair loss? That was in June and I noticed my hair changing mid September, so theres a gap of 3 months. I've heard that hairloss due to stress can take a couple of months to kick in and that the hairloss is reversible, as opposed to male pattern baldness, which is not.

Anyone going through hairloss have any advice or products they use? Any info at all would be appreciated.
    Cheers.

You're probably as well off to get this checked out by a medical pro, just to make sure there isn't an underlying problem that needs to be sorted.

Hi OP,dramatic hair loss in such a short period of time could be as Sauvignon82 rightly said due to some underlying condition so the best bet is to chat to your GP and see what they say.
