looking for running Android app

    Hi guys,

My target is 1,000km this year and to participate in a variety of 5km to 10km races throughout the year starting with the 8km run in Marlay park Feb 25th.

My running will be two 6km sessions on a treadmill + one 8km outdoor run per week. If I do that 50 weeks of the year I'll get to my 1,000km goal. (I know treadmill km's aren't "real" km's but they count for me!!)

I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction of a good Android app for recording my weekly km's Vs target. Something which will keep a running total etc. I use RunKeeper which tracks my outdoor runs via GPS but I need something which will also let me input my treadmill runs. Any suggestions??

    Ben

Runkeeper allows you to log treadmill miles I think, don't have the app anymore but i think it went something like this - go to new activity and change the top line to input manual activity, somewhere below that it will then give you the option of 'gym equipment' which you then change to treadmill, and it will let you input your mileage then.

You could try the Garmin Fit App. You can use it in conjunction with a Garmin Connect account, and create manual activities, logging manual distances and times. You can also set goals, e.g. monthly mileage targets, but I'm not sure how well (or if) that integrates with the Garmin Fit app and manual activities.

Runkeeper is still the best for my needs. You can set to to tell you when you are at certain distances, how far you have gone at certain timed milestones, what yur average pace is etc etc and the info is spoken to you. It dims the music you are listening to when it is giving you info and when it's finished speaking you are back to listening to your music.

    I think it's great.

Same for me, Runkeeper suits my needs, training for a marathon. That said, I haven't used other apps, which probably provide the same functionality.
