Overtime

Ok basically this thread is for two people.

Case 1 - My gf worked new years day and today ( bank holiday). Is she entitled to overtime for both days?

Case 2 - A friend of mine is working at a job where the boss is far from above board. The business is far from struggling either. Itt appears he has unorthodox methods of operating. He refused to pay overtime with the weekly wages and said hed pay it at christmas. The overtime then was not great and when questioned he said there was no set rate.

Is this the case or is there a legal guideline as to what should be payed regards overtime?

GF told she is not getting anything extra for today. Is this ok considering she does not do a 40 hour week or has she an entitlement ?

Today is a bank holiday, but not a public holiday. She (and anyone else) has no entitlement, AFAIK. See the sticky: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056444846
