    Hello,
hope this is the right place for a request like this - if not please feel free to point me in the right direction.
I'm trying to help a Year 2 student revise for January exams - course is BN002, BN013, BN104. We've gone through modules H2031 - OOAD and H2015 LAN Switching - and we're happy enough with those two..
However, my 'student' does not have the lecture notes for modules H2028 - Operating Systems- Client or H2011 - GUI Programming - I'm sure you'll agree it's pretty much imposssible to revise without the notes.
Don't ask me why they don't have the notes, or why they seem incapable of geting them....I just don't know....I've asked them to contact the lecturers etc but no go for some reason..

Does anyone have these lecture notes (powerpoints, PDFs, DOCs etc) or can they tell me where to get them ( I don't suppose they would change much the last 2/3 years - so last years ones would be OK, I guess).

I got roped into this because I was a programmer in the early 1980s (stop laughing now !)
Cobol (best language ever) on Data General, IBM & ICL 2900
Assembler on Singer System 10 (yes - Singer - the people who make sewing machines - they used to make computers !!)
RPG II (an ancient form of hieroglyphics) on IBM System 34

In Summary - looking for the lecture notes for

    Year 2 BN002/BN013/BN104

Module code H2028 Operating Systems - Client
    Module code H2011 GUI Programming

    Thanks in advance
Aidan - the old coder (codger ?)

Tell your 'student' to log in to moodle.itb.ie and they should get all the notes there.

You might get a second year student on this forum, but it would be quite a bit of work to download all the files etc ;)

Im in 3rd year so can't help, sorry.

...they will get all the notes there.

    Fixed that for ya ;)

Downloading the files would be a right aul pain.

    Best options are:

    1. If they can't log into moodle, they can ring or email 'the student information desk' (sid@itb.ie) and they will help with whatever problem he is having, be it lost password or not being able to log in etc.

    2. Even without moodle access, all of the notes are on the student share, just go into the college, log into any PC, under 'computer' find the drive that says 'student share' (Z i think) and download the notes you need from the respective lecturers folders.

    3. Send an email via his student email account to everyone in his class (he will notice none of the lecturers group emails that he would have recieved were BCC'd, so the emails of everyone on the course are all there ready for viewing) and ask them for the specific notes OR temp access to their moodle account so that your student may download them.

I'd advise they be hasty in whatever they do. Exams start next Tuesday. You should scold your 'student' for not having addressed this problem earlier :P
