    Hi everyone,

I'm starting a new job in Beaumont hospital tomorrow - just wondering how long it takes the 14 bus to get from Rathmine to Beaumont in the morning - I need to be there by 8.45.

    Thanks!

The 0720 departure from Dundrum should get to the main gate by about 0830, passing Rathmines at about 0745-0750 or so. The previous departure is at 0705 from Dundrum (0730 or so in Rathmines) if you want to leave plenty of time.

You could also take a 15 and change to a 27b at Connolly Station which goes into hospital - either use a Travel 90 10 Journey ticket or weekly pass.

    Hi All,

I'm considering moving to Churchtown and will be relying on the 14 bus to take me to and from town for work. I will need to be in work before 8am each day and will be returning after 6.

How reliable is this bus route and does anyone have any comments in it.

    Thanks!

    It's pretty reliable.

To get in to the city for 08:00, you'll need to get either the 07:05 or 07:20 departures from Dundrum.

The 0705 will be at Braemor Road around 0720 and is due in Suffolk Street by 0745, and the 0720 is due at Braemor Road around 0735 and should be in Suffolk Street by 0800.

Best option is the first one as heavy traffic starts building in Rathgar from after 0730.

Returning in the evening it's every 15-20 minutes from D'Olier Street.

The guide times here are fairly reliable:

Use www.a-b.ie for more detailed information.

An alternative is the LUAS from Windy Arbour or Dundrum, both about 10 minutes walk from Churchtown, or the 61 bus, but the latter can get screwed by traffic.
